Creative partners Maribeth Romslo and Cristina Pippa are a Minneapolis-based team. They produce impactful stories whenever and wherever they can together.
Maribeth Romslo is a director, cinematographer and producer whose feature film Dragonfly premiered at the Los Angeles Women's International Film Festival and was selected for "Best of the Fest" at the Minneapolis St. Paul International Film Festival. In 2015, she produced a feature-length documentary, Our Journey Home, about how home shapes us, with celebrity narrator singer-songwriter Jewel. As a young girl, she dreamed of being an astronaut. In seventh grade, she attended Space Camp and was shuttle commander on the mock space travel mission. While she turned her interests to visual arts in high school and beyond, she has a deeply rooted curiosity about science, especially in how technology connects us as humans.
Award-winning and commissioned playwright Cristina Pippa worked in a cancer researcher’s lab counting irradiated cells. Her play Cell Cycle is published in full and in several scene anthologies. She completed her B.A. and the Creative Writing Program at Columbia University in New York and her M.F.A. at the University of Iowa Playwrights Workshop, where she received the Iowa Fellowship for the Arts and the Norman Felton Fellowship to participate in Sundance Theatre Lab. She is the recipient of a 2015 Artist's Initiative grant for Prose and has co-directed two short films and a series pilot.
